Take the Train to the Governor's Conference!
We are pleased to announce that AMTRAK is the official Transportation Partner of the 2008 Oregon Governor's Conference on Tourism. All Governor's Conference registered attendees will be able to ride the train for FREE to and from the Governor's Conference from any destination that services AMTRAK. Book Your Train Excursion
- Click here to choose the regular coach class fare that best fits with your schedule.
- Then call 1.800.USA.RAIL to book your reservation.
- Tell the reservation agent that you are using a promotion through the AMTRAK Marketing Department. They will give you reservation information including a 'ticket deadline date for the day of travel' and a reservation code.
- Then contact Rose Blackson: 503.437.1860 or blacksr@amtrak.com to confirm your reservation.
This special offer is good for conference attendees booking REGULAR COACH CLASS fare only. If you wish to upgrade to business class you may pay the difference between the two fares.
FREE Hotel Shuttle from Vancouver (WA) Train Station
The Red Lion Hotel on the River will pick you up at the Vancouver (WA) train station and bring you to the hotel between the hours of 5 a.m. - 11 p.m. They will not be able to pick you up at the Portland (OR) train station! Be sure to book the correct destination to take advantage of this free service to and from the conference hotel. Call the hotel once you arrive at the Vancouver (WA) train station at 503.283.4466 - the hotel shuttle should arrive to pick you up within 15 minutes.
NOTE: Because of recent landslides in Southern Oregon, train service is not available south of Eugene. AMTRAK is working on this problem but it will not be corrected in time for travel to the Governor's Conference. AMTRAK apologizes for the inconvenience and encourages all conference attendees coming from Southern Oregon to take the train starting in Eugene!
