blockbuster “Backstory!” Plus the dulcet sounds of Soul’d Out. We encourage
you to dress as if you will be sitting around a campfire - telling stories, of
course.

7:00 am – 8:00 am Fun Run or Walk (Meet in Hilton Lobby)
Enjoy a fun run or walk with one of Track Town, USA’s fastest couples; Nicole
Teter, two-time Olympian, U.S. indoor 800-meter record holder (1:58:71) and
her husband Andy Downin, the 2001 USA Outdoor Champion in the 1500
meters (3:37:70), who is also a sub-4-minute miler (3:56:25). One group will do
a short climb up Skinner Butte and the other will run along the Willamette
River. Walkers are welcome and maps will be available for those who want to
strike out solo on longer or shorter routes.

7:00 am – 7:45 am Yoga Hilton Fitness Center (Basement)
Get the day started in a relaxed atmosphere among friends! You will
experience both strength and flexibility in conjunction with the deep
relaxation provided by breathing with your movements. Many simple
modifications will be offered – all levels are welcome. Yoga mats and towels
will be provided if you don’t have one.

6:30 pm – 9:00 pm A Night at the Museum Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
Spend the evening surrounded by great works of art as you enjoy a bountiful
heavy hors d’oeuvre buffet, wine and beer tastings, live entertainment and
a stroll through the exhibition galleries. One of six museums in the state
accredited by the American Association of Museums, the Jordan Schnitzer
Museum of Art is a cultural icon on the University of Oregon campus.
Exhibitions include:
• Running the Numbers by former corporate lawyer Chris Jordan follows his
recent photographic documentation of natural disasters. These large muralsize
compositions are colorful versions of well-known paintings, but made
with recycled objects.
• Contemporary Korean Art
• The Art of Japanese Buddhism
• Excessive Obsession: art influenced by minimal expressions that came to
the fore in the 1960s
Bus transportation begins at 6:00 pm from the E. 7th Avenue side of the
Hilton. Campus walking tours (optional) will be available to those taking the
first busses. The campus sports tour will include the new Matthew Knight
Arena. A second campus tour will tell the UO story, highlighting historic
buildings and events and include Hayward Field.

9:30 pm – 10:30 pm NIGHTLIGHT: A Late-Night LIVE Story Performance Lounge
The Night’s Story Theme: On the Road/Off the Path
The Moth; Backfence PDX; Porchlight. Live story telling events are hotter
than a hybrid vehicle’s leather seat in August. Come hear the sizzle yourself
as we combine old-fashioned storytelling about contemporary themes with a
great band and a good cocktail or three. You’ll be intermittently shaken, then
stirred as four of Oregon’s biggest talkers amuse and enthrall you with their
own tales on the theme of On the Road/Off the Path.

 2:30 pm Post-Conference Walking Tour of Inn at the 5th
Join Kim Dinsmoor and Heidi Albertson, of INN at the 5th, to preview the very special boutique hotel being built at Eugene's number one visitord estination:  5th Street Public Market.  You will see a model room; learn about the INN's unique amenities and services, such as the butler's door in each room; tour the construction site; and learn about the personal attention, dining, spa, wine and adventure packages, meeting facilities, and shopping every guest will have the opportunity to experience. The INN at the 5th is scheduled to open this fall.  Take the time to see what is in store for visitors and meeting planners at Northwest's very special boutique hotel, INN at the 5th.  Meet in the Hilton lobby at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday for the two block walk to the Inn at the 5th.
